With all the excitement of in-person shows for 2021, let’s not forget one of the best shows in the construction industry. World of Concrete announced their North American show is returning live June 8-10, with the education portion running from June 7-10. All events will be held at the newly expanded Las Vegas Convention Center.
Although this moves their show from the traditional winter season, WOC is taking full advantage of the warmer weather, including special outdoor activities and events throughout.
After 46 years of trade shows, this is the first time WOC has been postponed to the spring, and it won’t be without added anticipation. On top of being one of the greatest resources to connect businesses in all things concrete, this show boasts world-class education, new product demos and exciting outdoor spectator events.
The new, larger Las Vegas Convention Center’s 700,000 sq. ft. have been mapped out to comfortably fit vendors in both general construction equipment and foundation/slab repair, hosting exhibitors from around the world. This show gives one of the greatest chances to share your new products and services.
Any businesses related to the concrete and masonry industries can benefit from the wealth of information and opportunities available at this show. World of Concrete boasts more than 1,500 exhibiting companies and 60,000 registered industry professionals. There will be plenty of live demos, new equipment viewings, and industry networking during the week.
In addition to vendor booths and events, WOC’s education program this year will have over 140 quality education offerings for concrete and masonry industry professionals. These will include continuing education opportunities, seminars, hands-on training and more.
New for 2021
This year will also feature a Cement Production Paviion. Everything related to support and equipment for cement processes will be available: kilns, separators, mills, dryers, silos, bagging, automation & instrumentation.
Along with the pavilion, there will be special featured seminars available. Join industry thought leaders in a series of presentations involving best practices in cement production, equipment selection, current technologies and more.
COVID Safety Updates
World of Concrete is preparing and planning for a safe show, and procedures will follow not only local guidance, but also Informa AllSecure health and safety standards.
These standards work with governments and local needs, and have been developed to raise the bar on safe, hygienic, productive and high-quality organized event experiences. This ensures all those in attendance can enjoy World of Concrete with confidence.
Nevada safety mandates are being watched carefully, and updated information about specifics for the show will be released closer to the event date. Follow current COVID information and resources here.
Prepare for the Exhibit
World of Concrete allows for some of the best networking, but the size and scope of events also mean organized preparation and planning is essential for the best vendor experience. While this planning can take months of consideration, we’ve broken down steps into a simple timeline in our free Trade Show Preparation PDF.
In addition, here are some tips to consider as you plan:
Market your business
This should start months in advance, and become more frequent as the show grows closer. It can be as simple as reminders and ads on social media, or more detailed emails sent to current customers.
Marketing should not stop when the show starts. Keeping current customers updated while you’re at the show is a great way to share new products and your level of industry knowledge. Within the event, make sure to promote your business with high-quality and useful swag, or host giveaways for further lead gen opportunities.
Don’t underestimate seminars & education
In addition to having a great booth, attending or speaking during the educational portion of World of Concrete can establish your company as an industry leader. Being featured in or providing partnership to these events can also boost your brand and keep it more top of mind with attendees.
Network, network, network
It’s well-known to bring the best team members to run your booth at the show, but everything can fall flat if you don’t have a good follow-up plan to keep potential customers interested.
Set appointments for things like executive meetings, further exploration of your company, or other personalized meetings an attendee may need.
Beyond attendees, the show can also be a great place to develop partnerships with other companies within your field. Use this time to trade leads and deepen contacts with other vendors.
Make your booth stand out
At a show that boasts so many vendors and events, it’s important to make a lasting impression with attendees. Your booth can be both flashy, but also stay relevant to your brand and services.
