At this convention, veterans and beginners alike can participate in lively competitions, such as the MCAA Masonry Skills Challenge, MCAA Fastest Trowel on the Block and the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500, during the Masonry Madness Event.
There will also be live and virtual learning opportunities in workforce response planning and development, a wall-bracing seminar and the “train-the-trainer” course, which teaches employee trainers how to implement new control plans. There will also be a networking roundtable discussion, giving different positions within a masonry company the chance to share ideas and move toward better workflow and teamwork.
The convention offers live, hands-on learning demonstrations in the newest equipment, products and software that impact the future of the masonry industry.
BRONZE LOT EXHIBITS
In addition to the MCAA convention, the Bronze Lot offers other exciting events for industry professionals.
Each year, John Deere holds the John Deere Operator Challenge, which challenges operators to complete several tasks within a set amount of time. Prizes are awarded to the lead operator of each machine, and the challenges are divided into machine categories such as the backhoe and excavator, four-wheel loader and skid steer. Participants complete such tasks as scooping balls off of cones, moving through an obstacle serpentine, executing turns and hitting balls, all while racing against the clock. This is a fun event to show off your skills and blow off a little steam with your colleagues.
In addition to showcasing new vocational products, Western Star hosts the “Western Star Trucks Get Tough Challenge,” which puts drivers behind the wheel to experience the power and capability of these exceptional trucks. Participants move through an obstacle course in the truck of their choosing, earning points to win Western Star prizes. With over 200 drivers in the past event, we expect this competition to be hotter than ever.
