The Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show is hosted from Oct. 2-5, 2019, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Museum, zoo and aquarium shops are invited to enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast during an open panel discussion of the industry’s top retailers. During this event, attendees will gain valuable insight into retail sales marketing, business-building strategies and other success tips for non-profit retailers.

Whether you’re an exhibitor or an attendee, there are plenty of marketing opportunities with such a prestigious event.

The Native American Pavilion will bring together Native American artisans and other Native American suppliers in a range of merchandise categories, including food, apparel, artwork, jewelry, music and health and beauty. The diverse artisan work comes from many different tribes, such as the Cherokee, Creek, Hopi, Laguna, Mohawk, Lakota, Navajo, Santa Clara, Santo Domingo, San Ildefonso, Zuni, Acoma and Apache, among others.

For 2019, the show will feature a networking event and silent auction with refreshments and auction items. All proceeds benefit the American Indian College Fund.

In addition to this product variety, there will also be pop-up displays to learn how to display Native American merchandise effectively and daily “powwow” demonstrations to learn music, drumming, storytelling and much more.

Responding to requests for more artisan work and unique merchandise, the LV Souvenir & Resort Gift Show will feature the Emerging Marketplace. This part of the show will feature the newest retail tourism goods and services from designers, artisans and inventors spanning a unique cross-section of the souvenir industry.

The goal of this marketplace is to connect new companies, emerging artisans and other wholesalers with the biggest souvenir and resort retailers looking for new and interesting products.

With so much focus on American-made products, the Made in America Pavilion is proud to offer only American-made products, goods and resources in a range of categories, such as gifts and home accents.

This makes it much easier for retailers to find the American-made goods they want, while wholesalers benefit from exposure and marketing in this specialized category.

Souvenirs and gifts are often associated with the beach and resorts, so it can be difficult for buyers to find products and merchandise that are unique and eye-catching. The Boardwalk section of the souvenir show features a range of new and interesting products with a beach theme.

Representatives from surf shops, island resorts, cruise lines, coastal shops and other nautical gift shops can find swim and beach apparel, board sport apparel and equipment, beach-themed gifts and décor, logo merchandise and even boutique gifts, all in one place. Buyers have access to the newest trends in the market, while wholesalers can get their unique vision out in front of the right audience.

The LV Souvenir & Resort Gift Show adds new exhibitors each year. Here are some of the new exhibitors for 2019, including:

Beautiful product displays enhance interest and sales in gift shops for buyers, so those same principles apply to your booth. You’ll be surrounded by other wholesalers in your product category, which is great for your audience, but that means you need to stand out even more. If you create product displays that mimic the displays in a gift shop, it will be easier for your prospective buyers not only to notice your products but to picture them in their own store.

Use your space wisely, and only showcase your most unique and interesting products. Buyers will have access to your full line through your catalog. Don’t crowd your booth, but instead, focus on creating beautiful, themed displays that speak to your brand persona. Color-coordinated, uncluttered displays always grab more attention.

For instance, if you sell seasonal gifts and merchandise, arrange them in categories to make each season stand out. If you sell jewelry and home décor, consider displaying your jewelry on pillows, frames, dishes or blankets to make the display a work of art on its own, and have your booth staff wear some of your eye-catching pieces.

Most importantly, pay attention to how the booths around you are setting up their displays, so you can find a way to set yours apart.

At the largest souvenir and gift show in the country, you’ll have a lot of competition, so you need your booth to grab attention immediately.
